Alfred W. Lampe Bellevue, IA. Alfred W. Lampe, 86, of Bellevue, Iowa died on Friday, May 2nd 2014 peacefully at Manor Care in Dubuque, Iowa. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellevue, Iowa. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, May the 5th at Hachman Funeral Home & Cremation, 100 N 6th St., Bellevue, Iowa. He was born on May 26, 1927, in Bellevue, Iowa, son Arion and Mary (Heiar) Lampe. He married Bernice M. Lampe on July 12, 1950, at St. Theresas Church, LaMotte, Iowa. Alfred was a member of the Knights of the Columbus; he also loved doing jigsaw puzzles, hunting, fishing, euchre, flowers and nature walks. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Alfred enjoyed farming for over 23 years and was also the warehouse manager at Rainbo Tire Service in Dubuque, where he worked for 20 years before retiring in 1993. Surviving are eight children, David (Dianne) of Chicago, IL, Dan of Sheboygan, WI, Mary (Allen) Bradt of Hanover, IL. Gene (Peggy) of Overland Park, KS, Richard (Susan) of Janesville, WI, Randy (Melanie) of Mason, OH, Alan (Cindy) of Urbana IA and Mark (Tiffany) of Independence, IA., 20 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren, a sister; Veronica Voss of Tiffin, IA. He was preceded in death by his wife Bernice, his parents, 4 brothers, Cy Lampe, Herbert Lampe, Edward Lampe and Tom Lampe Sr.; a son, John Lampe; a daughter, Sheryl Lampe, a great granddaughter Kaylee Alcaraz. The family would like to thank Hospice of Dubuque, Oak Park Place and Manor Care for the care and compassion shown to Alfred.
