Barbara Bainbridge, 81, of Bellevue, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at her daughter Lauras home in Chesterton, Indiana. In honor of Barbaras wishes there will be no public services. A Private family memorial service will be held at the cemetery in Sinsinawa, Wisconsin. Barbara Bainbridge, daughter of Anton & Irma (Mueller) Michels was born on March 3, 1934 in Bellevue. She married Wayne Bainbridge on December 30, 1954 at St. Joseph Catholic in Bellevue. Together Barb and Wayne raised six children. In addition to being a wonderful homemaker, she also worked at Ensign Coil Co. and Mill Valley Care Center in Bellevue. In Barbs free time she enjoyed quilting, euchre, cribbage, crossword puzzles, gambling at the Diamond Jo, and refurbishing furniture. Barb was always one who told it how it was. Those left to honor her memory include her five children Deb (Larry) Nemmers, of Bellevue, Laura (Mike) Feller, of Chesterton, Indiana, Linda (Bruce) Foley, of Lake Mills, Wisconsin, Al Bainbridge, of Waterloo, Iowa and Lee (Jen) Bainbridge, of Cedar Falls, Iowa; 12 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two brothers, Tom Michels, of Bellevue and, Dave Michels, of Alaska; and sister, Jane (Leonard) Weber, of Bellevue. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter, Julie Bainbridge; granddaughter, Christina Scholtes; brother, Paul Michels and sister, Ann (Kenneth) Witt. The family wishes to thank Barbs daughter Laura for care and compassion she had given Barb over the past months.
