Bernice M. Lampe Bellevue, IA. - Bernice M. Lampe, 85, of Bellevue, Iowa died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2012 at Mill Valley Nursing Home, due to complications from Alzheimer's disease. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellevue, Iowa with the Rev. Kruse officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call Sunday evening from 2 to 6 p.m. at Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bellevue where there will be a Family Scripture Service at 1:30 p.m. She was born on June 6, 1927, in LaMotte, Iowa, daughter of John and Anna (Weimerskirch) Hoffmann. She married Alfred W. Lampe on July 12, 1950, at St. Theresas Church, LaMotte, Iowa. Bernice was a member of the Holy Rosary Society; she also loved doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Surviving are her husband, Alfred; a daughter, Mary (Allen) Bradt of Hanover, IL; seven sons, David (Dianne) of Chicago, IL, Dan of Sheboygan, WI, Gene (Peggy) of Overland Park, KS, Richard (Susan) of Janesville, WI, Randy (Melanie) of Mason, OH, Alan (Cindy) of Urbana IA and Mark (Tiffany) of Independence, IA.; daughter in-law, Candy Lampe, of Bentendorf, Iowa; 20 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; three step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; and a brother; Ray Hoffmann of Waukon, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, John Lampe; daughter, Sheryl Lampe; great granddaughter, Kaylee Alcaraz; five sisters, Susan Small, Alverda Hermes, Anna Mae Hoffmann, Irene Link, Lucille Klein, Jean Hessling; and five brothers, Alfred Hoffmann, Arnold Hoffmann, Walter Hoffmann, Clarence Hoffmann, and Lester Hoffmann. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Mill Valley Nursing Home.
