Betty L. Daugherty , 80, of Bellevue passed away Thursday evening, February 26, 2015 at her home in Bellevue, surrounded by family. A funeral Service will be held at 1:30 pm, Monday, March 2 at St. John Lutheran Church in Bellevue. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A visitation for Betty will be from 3:00 6:00pm, Sunday evening at St. John Lutheran Church and again Monday after 12:00pm prior to the service also at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Betty was born June 3, 1934, in Bellevue, the daughter of William and Carolena (Setzephandt) Eggers. Betty married Patrick Daugherty on November 26, 1955, in Bellevue. He passed away December 12, 2003. Betty graduated from Bellevue High School. She worked at Bellevue State Bank from 1954 until 1957 when she started raising children on her family farm. The banking career resumed in 1976 and continued until retirement in 1996. Betty was passionate about many things in her life. Her love of music began in high school and continued throughout the years, by singing in St. John's Lutheran Church choir for over 40 years as well as for many funerals and weddings. She was also involved in many other church and civic organizations. Betty's passion extended to her family. She was proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Their numerous activities were seldom missed and she always had encouraging words for her own family as well as other participants. Whether it was a concert, music contest, or a sporting event, she was there. Betty took pride in celebrating her families' accomplishments big or small. Those left to honor her memory include her sons, Tim (Barb) and Charlie (Jacque), both of Bellevue; three daughters, Carolyn (Chuck) Mueller, Chris (Bill) Iosbaker, and Jane (Pat) Mueller, all of Bellevue; 15 grandchildren, Kate (Dave) Small, Luke and Paige Daugherty; Nicki (Jeremiah) Johnson, Chris and David Mueller; Scott, Sam and Alex Iosbaker; Stephanie (Ivan Castellano) and Brittany Mueller; Tyler (Tori), Cade, Trey and Brin Daugherty; 3 great grandchildren, Lane and Drew Johnson; Callen Mueller and a 4th on the way, a brother; Richard (Dolores) Eggers, of Andrew; and three sisters in-law, Marjorie Eggers-Portz, Joyce Mehnke, and Ora Eggers. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers, Willard and Walter Bill Eggers.
