Carol R. Stumph, 82, of Canon City, CO, passed away, Saturday, February 6, 2016, at Luther Manor in Dubuque. A funeral Service for Carol will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, February 13 at St, John Lutheran Church, in Bellevue. Arrangements are being handled by Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Bellevue. Carol was born on a dairy farm April 12, 1933 in Tomah, WI, daughter of Alvin and Eva (Bacon) Warnke. She married John Stumph on June 13, 1953 in Deerborn, IL. Together, John and Carol had a wonderful marriage and were forever in LOVE. With the strength and ultimate love between them, they raised five children, and then along came six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Till death do us part did not separate their love and their vows. Those left to honor her memory include four children, John (Anne) Lamman, of Canon City, CO, Kate (Michael) Green, of Warren IL, Cindy (Daryl) Robinson, of Iowa City, IA, and Stephanie Stumph-Nagel, of Canon City, CO; grandchildren Audra (Joe) Ries, Jonathon Pentico, Tabor Stevens, Jarod Stevens, Claire Lamman, and Rachael Lammen; and two great grandchildren, Jocelyn and Benry Ries, and Baby Ries on the way; sister, Beverly Tarnowski, of Milwaukee, WI; and special friend of 45 years Beverly Garner, of Canon City. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; son Christopher; sons in-law Michael Nagel and Daniel Stevens; brothers, Robert, Dean, Howard, and Alfred; sisters, Donna and Adeline.
