Cletus John Tebbe, 74, of Bellevue, passed away Monday, June 16, 2014 at his home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 20, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellevue. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Visitation for Cletus will be held from 4:00 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service and again Friday morning From 9:30 until 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Cletus was born on December 20, 1939 at the family farm in Springbrook, Iowa, the second child of three to Vincent & Laura (Kloft) Tebbe. On July 23, 1966 he married Susan Reisch at St. Marys Catholic Church in Dubuque. He graduated from Marquette high school, class of 1957. He then enlisted in the United States Army and served two years in Fairbanks, Alaska. After his enlistment he returned back home and became a bricklayer in the Dubuque area. In 1972 he had an opportunity for employment with John Deere Dubuque Works where he worked as a machinist for 30 years retiring in 2002. Cletus was an avid bowler, golfer, and vegetable gardener. In retirement he enjoyed a part-time job with Till's Garage in Bellevue, transporting cars. Cletus was a friendly and generous man who was devoted to his family. He will be deeply missed. Those left in his memory, include his wife of 47 years, Susan Tebbe of Dubuque, two sons, Scott (Theresa) Tebbe, of Cedar Falls, Iowa and Jason Tebbe, of Lake Orion, Michigan; and two sisters, Lola (John) McAreavy, of Marion and Judy (Lloyd) Keuter, of Farley, Iowa.
