Colin Patrick Jackson

Colin Patrick Jackson, 19, of Bellevue, died, Friday, April 25, 2014, in Dubuque, Iowa as a result of an industrial accident. Funeral services for Colin will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, April 30, 2014 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellevue with Msgr. Thomas E. Toale officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday Evening from 3 to 8pm at the Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation, and again on Wednesday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Colin was born on April 3, 1995 in St. Charles, Illinois the son of Shawn and Angie (Berthel) Jackson. He graduated from Bellevue Community High School, class of 2013. Colin currently worked for Jackson Concrete Pumping in Dubuque. From a real early age he spent a lot of time working. Even at his young age, he was a workaholic and very proud to work with his dad in the family business. Colin was just a good kid with a sense of humor that put others at ease and he could always put a smile on everyones face. In his spare time he enjoyed riding his Harley in the summer and snowmobile in the winter. Colin wasnt one to sit around and was always surrounded by his many friends. His family and friends will never forget his contagious smile and his big blue eyes. Those left to honor his memory include his parents; Shawn and Angie, of Bellevue; brother, Dalton and sister, Callie, both of Bellevue; maternal grandmother, Phyllis Berthel, of Bellevue; Paternal grandmother, Pat Jackson, of Dubuque; girlfriend, Maci McAuliffe; and his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John Berthel; and paternal grandfather, Allan Jackson. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Colins name.
