Daisy Catherine Clasen

Daisy Catherine Clasen, 94, of LaMotte, peacefully passed away Wednesday morning, March 7, 2012, at Mill Valley Care Center in Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellevue. Burial will be in the Holy Rosary Cemetery in LaMotte. Visitation for Daisy will be held from 5:00 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service and again on Saturday morning after 9:30 a.m. also at the funeral home. Daisy was born on August 26, 1917 in Springbrook, the daughter of Matthias and Catherine (Monner) Scheckel. She married Wilfred Clasen on September 25, 1944, in Springbrook; he passed away March 27, 1979. Daisys Catholic Faith was extremely important to her. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading and spending time with her family. Surviving are her three sons, Donald (Gayle) Clasen, of Benard, Darrell and Cletus Clasen, both of LaMotte; two daughters, Joanne (Lorin) Duesing, of Bellevue and Anita Watters, of Maquoketa; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
