Donald Monner

Donald Edwin Monner, 78, of Bellevue, passed away, Friday, February 5, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, February 9, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellevue. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Visitation for Donald will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Monday evening at the Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service, in Bellevue and again Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Donald was born on March 2, 1937, in Bellevue, the son of Wilfred and Laura (Wall) Monner. Donald was quiet and good natured. At a young age Donald had severe Epileptic Seizures and didnt allow for him to work. He lived with his parents and helped on the farm, after their passing he lived with his brother Joe. Donald was a talented artist, he spent a lot of time painting and drawing. He also enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening. Donald will be deeply missed. Those left to honor his memory include his three brothers, Joe Monner, of Bellevue, Merwin (Shirley) Monner, of Bellevue and John (Joyce) Monner, of Maquoketa; two sisters, Yvonne Kruser, of Dubuque and Patrcia (Donald) Berthel, of Zwingle; and many nieces and nephews.
