Doris L. Klemme, 80, of Bellevue, died early Tuesday morning, November 8, 2011 at Mill Valley Care Center in Bellevue. A Funeral Service will be held Friday at 11:30 a.m. in St. John Lutheran Church, Bellevue. Burial will be in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Preston. Visitation for Doris will be held from 3:00 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Bellevue and again Friday morning after 10:30 at the Church. Doris Roe was born May 22, 1931 in rural Bellevue, the daughter of Delbert and Nettie (Keil) Roe. She married Eldon V. Klemme on September 1, 1948 in Bellevue; he passed away October 12, 2005. She worked at Sabula Speaker Factory, International Paper in Clinton and Ensign Coil in Bellevue. Doris raised seven kids and was a very strong and independent woman who always thought of others before herself. She enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. Doris also spent her spare time cooking, gardening, crocheting, and quilting. She was an American Legion Auxiliary member and also volunteered at Mill Valley Care Center. Those left to honor her memory include her six children, Peggy (Marty) Mancebo, of Walnut Creek, California, Keith (Diane) Klemme, of Bellevue, Steve Klemme, of Miles, Nancy (Charles) Bentley, of Clinton, Delbert Klemme, of Bellevue and Dennis (Shelia) Klemme, of Bellevue; son in-law, Steve Mootz; 15 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; six step-great grandchildren; sister, Judy (Bob) Yeager; aunt, Marcella Roe and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Karol; two grandsons, Troy and Dustin; four sisters, Fern, Donna, Marilyn and Gaynell; and two brothers, Eugene and Kenneth.
