Edward Eugene Carr

Edward Eugene Carr, 75, of Clinton died Sunday at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 17th at 12:00 PM at Lemke Funeral Homes-South, 2600 Lincolnway, Clinton. A visitation will be held Wednesday from 5-8 PM at the Funeral Home. Edward was born on August 2, 1931 in Iowa City to Edra Lawrence and Leola (Scott) Carr. Edward attended Davenport schools. He was also a Veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. After returning from the war he was employed as a Mill Operator with Central Steel. Edward was also a member of the Steel Workers Union. He is survived by three sisters; Katherine Carr of Clinton; Leola Hoagland and Sharon Fiegel both of Illinois; four brothers; Gene Carr and Clarence Carr both of Clinton; John (Carol) Carr of Camanche; and Robert (Barbara) Kelley of Hazelton, IA; also several nieces and nephews.
