Eldon F. Sieverding 82, of Bellevue, peacefully passed away Friday evening, March 2, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellevue. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Visitation for Eldon will be held from 3:00 7:00 p.m. Monday evening at the Hachmann Funeral Home in Bellevue and again Tuesday morning after 9:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Eldon was born on November 13, 1929 in Bellevue, son of Arion and Rose (Kieffer) Sieverding. He married Leanna Kilburg, on August 23, 1949 in Andrew, Iowa. Eldon was hard working, caring, and always in a hurry. He farmed for over 60 years and truly enjoyed every minute of it. Even after moving to town, he made it to the farm everyday to help his son, Joe. Eldon had a passion for getting things done right. He always tried to leave things better than he found them. Eldon also had a love for music. He enjoyed singing and in his early years, dancing. Eldons family meant the world to him. He looked forward to family gatherings and seeing his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed. Those left to honor his memory include his wife of 62 years, Leanna, of Bellevue; eight children, Rose Ann (Richard) Neitz, of Nashville, Tennessee, Peggy (Steve) Heiar, of Springbrook, Jim (Betty) Sieverding, of St. Donatus, Jane Sieverding, of Bellevue, Kevin (Janet) Sieverding, of Springbrook, Joe (Ruth) Sieverding, of Bellevue, Denise (John) Michel, of Bellevue, and Ann (Mark) Michels of Bellevue; twenty five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren: one sister in-law, Saverna Sieverding, of Bellevue, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Dale; brother, Gerald; and son in-law James E. Rubel. The family would like to give a special thank you to the Bellevue Ambulance & Bellevue Rescue Service for the care shown to Eldons family.
