Frances A. Deppe, 97, formerly of Bellevue, passed away, Monday, September 29, 2014, at Edgewood Convalescent Home in Edgewood, Iowa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, October 4, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Bellevue. Burial will take place at Holy Rosary Cemetery in LaMotte. A Rosary Service will be held at 9:15 a.m. Saturday morning followed by a Visitation from 9:30 11:00 a.m. at Hachmann Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Frances was born June 20, 1917 in Hunter North Dakota, daughter of Peter and Elizabeth (Warborg) Puetz.. She married Lester Deppe on October 20, 1941 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Temple Hill. Frances and Lester never had children but always treated the nieces and nephews as though they were their children. She was a very kind and thoughtful person with a great sense of humor. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, taking care of her cats and playing cards. Frances was a very devoted catholic. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, Rosary Society, Bellevue American Legion Auxillary and the Jackson County Historical Society. Those left to honor her memory include her sister in-law, Therese Puetz and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, Michael, Henry, Anthony and Joseph; and four sisters, Margaret Schwartzlow, Josaphine Sackett, Lena Uhlenkamp and Thresia Puetz.
