Gordon J. Petesch, 93, of Bellevue, died Sunday, April 4, 2010 at Mill Valley Care Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, April 9, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellevue. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery, where full military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post #273. Visitation for Gordon will be held from 4:00 7:00 pm. Thursday evening at the Kingery Funeral Home and again Friday morning after 9:30 until procession to the church. Gordon was born September 27, 1916 in Bellevue, the son of Louis and Mary (Deichelbohrer) Petesch. He married Bendina Tebbe on June 3, 1941 in Springbrook, she passed away August 3, 2008. He served the United States Army during WWII. Gordon Proudly farmed most of his adult life. He was a member of the American Legion and St. Joseph Catholic Church. Gordon enjoyed working, playing cards and spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed. Those left to honor his memory include a son, Daniel Petesch, of Bellevue; a daughter, Mary (Kevin) Maher, of DeWitt; three grandchildren, Ryan (Melisa), Brandon (Trista), and Benjamin Maher; three great grandchildren, Jacob, Brooke, and Nicole Maher; a sister, Vera Herrig, of Bellevue; and two brothers, Roland Petesch, of Bellevue and Ronald (Lois) Petesch, of Hanover, Illinois, and many nieces and nephews.
