Henrietta A. Porayko, 87, of Bellevue, passed away Thursday, March 20th, 2008 at The Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque. Henrietta was born September 21st, 1920, in Chicago, daughter of the late Paul and Rose (Kalarus) Potempa. She married Peter Porayko on July 7th, 1962 in St. Walters Catholic Church in Roselle, Il. He survives. She was a former square dancer for the Barn Dance in Chicago and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Bellevue. She loved the Mississippi River from the time they moved to Bellevue 17 years ago. Besides her husband Peter, survivors include, one brother, Walter (Joanie) Potempa, Schaumburg; IL two sisters, Leocadia (John) Nielsen, Schaumburg, IL and Veronica McFadden, Naperville, IL; a special niece, Sue (Dan) Voiland, Naperville, IL; other nieces, nephews and relatives and friends. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Steven Protempa and one sister, Wanda Kotelnicki. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:30 AM, Monday, March 24th, 2008, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellevue. The Rev. Fr. Stephen Meyer will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 9:30 -11:15 AM at The Kingery~Lemke Funeral Home, Bellevue.
