Herbert H. Hueneke, 82, of Bellevue, died Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at the Jackson County Hospital in Maquoketa. Herbert was born September 30th, 1923, on the family farm north of Bellevue, son of the late Herman H. and Edna (Felderman) Hueneke. Herbert was a farmer. He was proud to serve his country in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of the Bellevue American Legion. He also was a member of St. John Lutheran Church where he was an usher and former board member. Hunting and fishing were among his favorite pastimes whatever the season. He was an avid New York Yankee fan. His survivors include two sisters, Lois (George) Moore, Maquoketa and Eleanor (Vernon) Griebel, Bellevue; three nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Eldon Hueneke. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, March 9th, 2006 at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Bellevue. Pastor Paul Gammelin will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5-7:30 PM at the Kingery Funeral Home in Bellevue and again on Thursday from 9:30 AM until the time of services at the church.
