Jean Ann Harris

Jean Ann Harris, 59, of Le Claire, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30pm, Friday, November 17 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellevue. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Visitation for Jean Ann will be held from 10:00-12:00pm Friday morning prior to Mass at the church.Jean Ann was born on December 28, 1957 in Bellevue, daughter of Norbert and Mary (Heiar) Ernst. She married Randy Harris on September 1, 1979. Jean Ann worked at the United States Postal Service, as a letter carrier. She was a member of St. John Vianney. Spending time with her grandchildren was most important to her, she also enjoyed swimming at the YMCA. Jean Ann was an avid Yankees fan. She will be remembered for her strong faith and love of her family. Those left to honor her memory include her high school sweetheart and husband of 38 years, Randy, of Le Claire; two daughters, Jennifer (Marty) Eilers, of Davenport and Kelly Dooley, of Pella, Iowa; grandchildren, Hayden and Ford Eilers and Zoey Dooley; brother, Mike (Melanie) Ernst, of Wyoming, Iowa; sisters, Linda Gissel, of Waterloo, Iowa and Mary Jane (John) Mueller, of Bellevue; and her beloved Yorkie, Sarge.Jean Ann is preceded in death by her parents, and her twin sister, JoAnn.In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Jean Anns name.The family would like to extend a special thank you to Clarissa Cook Hospice for the special care and compassion shown to Jean Ann.
