Jenan Rock Mellen

Jenan Rock Mellen, 76, of Clinton passed away Tuesday at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 17, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Lemke Funeral Homes-South Chapel, 2610 Manufacturing Drive, Clinton. There will be a two hour visitation prior to funeral services on Monday from 9:00-11:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Jenan was born on October 2, 1931 in Clinton to Dr. R.G. and Helen (Rock) Mellen. They then moved to Boulder, CO where she graduated from Boulder High School in 1950. She then attended the University of Colorado where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta Womens Fraternity. Afterwards she married and began her family. Several years later she returned to Clinton to raise her two sons. Jan enjoyed spending time with her two sons and watching them play sports. In more recent years she enjoyed spending time and playing with her grandchildren. Jan also enjoyed her walks with her husband Bill and taking care of their dog Buddy. Jan is survived by her husband, William R. Craig, two sons, John A. Watson and his wife Meg of Chicago, James A.Watson and his wife Becky of Minnesota, four grandchildren, and one sister, Patricia Mellen of Mesa, AZ. She is preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers.
