Jessine M. Duuck, 98, of Clinton, passed away on Thursday at her home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 15, 2007 at Lemke Funeral Home-Lyons Chapel, 2304 N 2nd St., Clinton. Rev. Christine Minor-Heilig will be officiating the service. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of Service at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery. Jessine was born on February 10, 1909 in Lyndon, Illinois to Daniel and Anna (Zastrow) Duuck. In 1927 graduated from Lyons High School. Before graduation she started working for the Collis Company as a bookkeeper until her retirement in 1974. She was a member of the Lyons United Methodist Church where she was the Sunday School Superintendent for many years. She also was a past president of the Church Women United. She was past President and Treasurer of the Womens Aid Society, past president of the local AARP Chapter, and she also delivered Meals on Wheels for 21 Years. Survivors include, one sister, Dorothy Kuffer of Vista, CA, nephews, Duane Kuffer of Australia, and Dana Kuffer of Hawaii, one niece, Joan Marsh of Oscoda, MI, a great nephew, Lon Marsh, a great niece, Lori Marsh, and two great great nieces and two great great nephew. Jessine is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, August and Leonard, and a nephew, James Duuck. The family has requested in lieu of flowers that memorials be directed to Lyons United Methodist Church or to Mercy Hospice.
