Jordan Pitz

Jordan Pitz, 42, of Madison, Wisconsin, formerly of LaMotte, Iowa passed away Monday Evening, January 5, 2015, at his home, surrounded by family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30am, Saturday, January 10, 2015 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Otter Creek, Iowa. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in LaMotte. A visitation for Jordan will be held from 3:00 7:00pm, Friday at Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Bellevue, Iowa and again Saturday morning after 9:00 at the church. There will also be a memorial service for Jordan at St. Peters Catholic Church in Madison at 6:00 pm on Monday, January 12, friends may call after 4:30p.m.until service time at the church. Jordan J. Pitz was born February 3, 1972 in Maquoketa, Iowa, the son of Donald and Ella (Kloft) Pitz. He married Jessica Konrardy on June 7, 1997 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in LaMotte. Jordan graduated from Andrew High School in 1990 and the University of Iowa in 1994. He was an Actuary with American Family Insurance for over 17 years. Jordan was a faithful member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Madison. Jordan was humble and possessed a kind, gentle soul. He loved spending time with his friends and family, especially coaching his sons baseball team in the East Madison Little League. Jordan's love and appreciation for baseball left a lasting impression on the kids he coached. He taught the game with patience and encouragement. Jordan was an avid Bills fan and also enjoyed bowling, playing basketball, and cards. His knack for numbers and statistics helped him coordinate numerous basketball and football pools over the years. Those left to honor his memory include his wife of 17 years, Jessica Pitz, of Madison; their three children Paige, Owen and Quinn at home; his mother, Ella Pitz, of LaMotte; sisters, Holly (Randy) Streeter, of Fayette, Iowa, Gina Pitz, of Platteville, WI, and Diane (Alan) Magnani, of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; brothers Mike ( friend, Monna Metcalf), of LaMotte and Marty (Sandy) Pitz, of Welton, Iowa; In-Laws Loren and Mary Jo Konrardy, of LaMotte; sisters and brothers in-law, Jill Konrardy, of Madison, Whitney Konrardy, of Denver, CO, and Joseph Konrardy, of Asbury,IA. He was preceded in death by his father Donald in 1994. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Leal at the UW Carbone Cancer Center and the staff at Agrace Hospice. In lieu of flowers, a Jordan J. Pitz Memorial Fund has been established for his childrens future education.
