Kathleen Kay D. Schultz, 66, of Camanche passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at Genesis Medical Center. Visitation will be held at the Church of the Visitation, Camanche on Friday, July 20, 2007 from 4 8pm. A Prayer Vigil will be held at 7pm. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 10:00am Saturday, July 21, 2007 at the Church Of The Visitation with Father Richard Okumo officiating. Pallbearers will be Jack, Larry, Joe, Dan, Tim and Steve Atkinson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jon and Kevin Atkinson, Rick Greve, David Feist, Mike Stoecken and Shawn Butler. Burial will follow at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Kay was born on September 7, 1940 in Rock Island, IL to Charles and Honora Nonie (OBrien) Atkinson. She was a 1958 graduate of St. Marys High School. She also graduated from Rex Academy of Cosmetology. Kay married Anthony Schultz on September 17, 1960 at St. Marys Church in Clinton. Kay owned and operated Kays Klip N Kurl in Camanche for 40 years. She was a member of the Church Of The Visitation in Camanche, the NCA, River Bend Stylist, Share the Wealth Family out of Chicago, the Look Good, Feel Better Program and Relay for Life where she served as an officer. Kays passion was Relay for Life and she raised $24,000 in one year. Kay loved to travel, especially with Nan. The loves of her life were her grandchildren. Kay is survived by her husband; two daughters, Kim Munck of Goodyear, AZ and Deb (James) Lord of Camanche; one son, Rob (Marla) Schultz of Camanche; seven grandchildren, Blake Munck, Kristin and Kerri Lord, Dawson and Ethan Schultz and Mitchell and Nicholas Phelps; her Mother, Nonie Atkinson of Clinton; seven sisters, Pat (Frank) Greve of Camanche, Nancy (Marvin) Feist of Oskaloosa, IA, Margaret (Roger) Stoecken of Preston, IA, Mardella Dorrel of Chuala Vista, CA, Rhonda (Steve) Brown of Surfside Beach, NC, Bonnie (Gary) Tebbe of Preston, IA and Mary Mollie (Onie) Butt of Clinton, IA; six brothers, Jack (Carol) Atkinson of Preston, IA, Larry (Jackie) Atkinson of Camanche, IA, Joe (Jane) Atkinson of Preston, IA, Dan Atkinson of Moline, IL, Jim Atkinson of Lowden, IA and Steve (Deb) Atkinson of Davenport, IA and many nieces and nephews. Kay was preceded in death by her Father, Charles Bill Atkinson; one sister, Fran Klinkner and one brother, Bill Atkinson.
