Kathy Ann Lombardi, 62 of Bellevue, IA passed away on Friday morning, June 24, 2016 at her home in Bellevue, IA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am, Monday, June 27, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will take place in the Parish Cemetery. Visitation for Kathy will be from 3:00 to 7:00pm. Sunday evening at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellevue, where a Scripture Service will be said at 2:30pm. Visitation will also take place at Hachmann Funeral Home and Cremation Service Monday morning from 9:00 to 10:00am. Kathy was born July 19, 1953 in Bellevue, Iowa, daughter of Dwain and Marcella Babe (Lampe) Junk. Heaven gained the most beautiful angel, Kathy Lombardi. Kathy fought the fight against cancer for almost 2 years with never ending courage and strength and is an inspiration to many. Kathys children and grandchildren were the light of her life and she loved them with all of her heart. She had a passion for dance and has inspired so many dancers for over 37 years. Her kind heartedness and encouraging words brought joy to everyone around her. She cared so deeply about everyone around her and made all that knew her a better person. Along with dance, Kathy loved going to Vegas and Disneyland. Her favorite thing to say was GOD sees Those left to honor her memory include two daughters, Jessalynn (Tom) Siwa, of Omaha, Nebraska, and Tessa (Chet) Medinger, of Dubuque; five grandchildren, Jayden and Jo Jo Siwa and Jack, Miley and Wil Medinger; mother, Marcella Babe Junk, of Bellevue; two brothers, Steve Junk, of Cascade and Tim Junk, of Bellevue; and three sisters, Karen (Jerry) Theisen, of Bellevue, Kay (Dave) Konrardy, of Davenport, and Kim Kunkel, of Dubuque. She was preceded in death by her father, son, Jaydn Lombardi, sister, Jane and brother in-law, Tim Kunkel. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Hospice of Dubuque Dr.Schulties, Dr. Fuller, Dr. Smoot, Dr. Hunter and the many friends and family that visited and supported Kathy through her illness.
