Kimberly Kay Kilburg, 47, of LaMotte, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014 at her home. A Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday evening, June 25, at St. John Lutheran Church, in St. Donatus. Visitation for Kim will be held from 3:00 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service and again Wednesday evening from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the church. Kim was born on June 18, 1967 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Leon and Millie (Berner) Oberman. On August 26, 1989 she married Greg Kilburg at Zion Lutheran Church in Elvira, Iowa. She graduated from Northeast High School, class of 1985 and Lutheran Hospital School for Nurses in 1988. Kim was lead nurse for John Deere Occupational Health Group in Dubuque. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend. Throughout her life she exemplified the values of hard work, honesty and integrity, while remembering the importance of putting family first. Kim was very active in her community serving on the LaMotte EMS for over 18 years. She also served on the Jackson County EMS committee. She also enjoyed running and keeping physically fit. Those left to honor her memory, include her husband of 25 years, Greg Kilburg of LaMotte, three sons, Keegan (Kristin Takes), Peyton and Tavian Kilburg, all of LaMotte; parents, Leon and Millie, of Elvira; brother, Leon Jr. (Kathie) Oberman, of Elvira; and two sisters, Tammy Kleppe, of Goose Lake; Shelly (Rusty) Schockley, of Keokuk; and mother in-law, Ivis Kilburg, of Bellevue. She was preceded in death by her brother in-law, Todd Kleppe.
