Laura Susan Tebbe

Laura S. Tebbe, 90, of Bellevue, passed away Tuesday, February 12th, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque. Laura was born December 17th, 1917, in Springbrook, daughter of the late Peter and Elizabeth (Heuertz) Kloft. She married Vincent Tebbe on January 26th, 1937, in Springbrook. He preceded her in death November 24th, 1948. Laura farmed with her husband Vincent east of Springbrook before moving to Bellevue in 1951. She worked in housekeeping for various homes, Crestridge Nursing Home, Bellevue Hospital and Mill Valley Care Center. She was a member of the Rosary Society, Mission Quilters and the local Senior Citizens Group. Survivors include her children, Cletus (Susan) Tebbe, Bellevue, Lola (John) McAreavy, Marion and Judy (Lloyd) Keuter, Farley; 12 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; a half sister, Verna Potter, Dubuque; other relatives and many friends. Besides her husband Vincent and her parents she was preceded in death by three grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:30 AM on Friday, February 15th, 2008, at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Bellevue. Burial will be in Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Springbrook. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-7 PM at the Kingery~Lemke Funeral Home in Bellevue and again on Friday from 9:30 AM until the time of procession to the church.
