Lavita S. Pleiser, 92, of Bellevue, died, Friday, June 20, 2008, at Mill Valley Care Center. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 23, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellevue. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 22, at The Lemke Funeral Home, where there will be a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Friends may also call Monday at the funeral home from 9:30 until service time. Lavita was born on February 8, 1916, in Bellevue, daughter of Peter and Gertrude (Weis) Reistroffer. She married Charles Pleiser on October 16, 1934. Lavita was a homemaker with a variety of jobs. Her family meant everything to her, she looked so forward to family gatherings, where she would make a point to talk to everyone present and find out who was missing. Every Saturday you would find her in her kitchen baking something for someone. She also enjoyed playing cards, bingo and in early years music and dancing. Lavita will be remembered for always having a rosary or prayer book in her hand. Her family could always count on her, to say a prayer for them. Her favorite pastime was praying. She was a great listener and her family will miss her all the way to heaven and back. Surviving is her two daughters, Darlene (Bernard) Michel, Darla (Cletus) Feller; a son, Gerald (Anita) Pleiser, all of Bellevue; eight grandchildren, Greg (Sharon) Michel, Julie (Hector) Lopez, Randy (Lauri) Feller, Sharon (Gary) Ploeger, Diane (Dennis) Ploeger, Rhonda (Pat) Hartung, Rick Pleiser (Dawn Rodriguez), and Amy (Jesse) Tutson; and 18 great grandchildren, Matthew and Rachel Lopez, Lisa, Gina, Justin, and Jared Feller, Crystal, Brooke, Dustin, and Derek Ploeger, Nathan, Curtis, and Renee Hartung, Dakota DeNolf, Nicole Putala, Amber, Hanna, and Kayle Tutson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles in 1988 and son Wayne Allen Pleiser in 1941. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.lemkefuneralhome.net.
