Linda J. Sieverding, 61, of 395 4th Street, Waukee, Iowa, formerly of Bellevue, died Saturday, February 7, 2009 at the Kavanagh House, Hospice of Central Iowa in Des Moines, Iowa. Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 11 at St. Josephs Catholic Church, Bellevue officiated by Father Stephen Meyer. Burial will be in St. Josephs Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 10 at Kingery~Lemke Funeral Home and again Wednesday at the funeral home from 9:30 until procession to the church. Linda was born on March 5, 1947 in Waterloo, daughter of Justin and Mildred (Millman) Hingtgen. She married Jim Sieverding on December 1, 1973. Linda graduated from Wahlert High School and Mercy School of Nursing in Dubuque. She was employed as an RN at Mercy Hospital in Dubuque, Mill Valley Care Center in Bellevue and later Spurgeon Manor in Dallas Center, Ia. She was a member of the Iowa Nursing Association. Linda was a very kind, gentle and spiritual person. She was active in the Power of Prayer in Dubuque and Mary Queen of Piece Prayer Group at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Bellevue. She also taught CCD at St. Josephs. She had a great love for Medjugorje and was able to meet Ivan and attended several of his apparitions. Linda also had a love for reading, horseback riding and visiting the elderly. Her kindness will be deeply missed. Surviving is her husband of 35 years, Jim Sieverding, of Waukee, Ia; seven siblings, Lee (Joan) Hingtgen, Sharon (Gene) Konrardy, and Lloyd (Ruth) Hingtgen, all of Bellevue, Jay (Linda) Hingtgen, of Iowa City, Cathy (Terry) Dickerson of Waukee, Bob (Mary) Hingtgen and Jeanne (Phil) Larson, both of West Des Moines; two brothers in-law, Paul and Chuck Sieverding; six sisters in-law, Janice Sieverding, Janet McFadden, Carol Armstrong, Mary (Tom) McConaghy, Sue (Hugh) Engling, and Marcy (Bob) Engelman; eleven nieces and nephews, Jason Hingtgen, David Hingtgen, Lisa (Heath Hill) Dickerson, Laura Dickerson, Kelly Hingtgen, J.J. Hingtgen, Katy Hingtgen, T.J. (Felicia) Larson, Jimmy Larson, and Jeffrey Larson; and two aunts, Hazel Lemer, and Ruth Deken. She is preceded in death by her parents; mother and father in-law, Lawrence and Lucille Sieverding; two brothers in-law, Larry and Francis Sieverding, and a sister in-law, Ruth Ann.
