Loren H. Caughron

Loren Curly or Kory H. Caughron, 87 of Bellevue, died Friday, October 2, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center, in Dubuque. Private family services will be held on Friday, October 9, 2009 at the Kingery~Lemke Funeral Home. Loren was born on September 18, 1922 in Cosby, Tennessee. He married Dolores Virginia Lepert on March 13, 1946 in Florida. He enlisted in the Navy in 1941 and was a veteran of WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He remained on active duty until retirement in 1971 as a Aviation Boatswain Chief Master. His military service was important to him, he spent a lot of time reading about Naval History. Loren enjoyed spending time with friends and family, fishing, traveling, and playing bingo. He was also an avid Florida Gators fan. He will be deeply missed. Surviving is his wife; Dolores Caughron, of Bellevue; son, Harold Rusty Caughron, of Cuba City, Wisconsin; two granddaughters, Catherine and Elizabeth Caughron; and a great granddaughter, Alexandria Caughron.
