Lorraine L. (Marburger) Kuhl

Lorraine L. (Marburger) Kuhl, 98, of Bellevue, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023.  Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Monday, September 25, 2023 at St. John Lutheran Church in Bellevue, Iowa.  Family will greet friends 10:00 am until service time at the church on Monday.  Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery.

Lorraine was born July 22, 1925 in Jackson County, the daughter of William and Maude (Deppe) Marburger.  She married Howard J.  Kuhl on August 3, 1943, he passed on March 16, 2005.  She attended Country School, enjoyed flowers, gardening, baking, cooking, and canning.  Lorraine farmed side by side with her husband until they retired.  She loved watching hummingbirds and spending time with her family.  She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her children, Gerald (Vicki) Kuhl and Janet (Dale) Sprank; a daughter in-law, Suzanne Kuhl; grandchildren, Melinda (Matt) Brouwer, Ryan (Lindsey) Kuhl, Jessica (Cory) Scott, Ben (Tiffany) Kuhl, Casey (Alesia) Kuhl, Rebecca (Nick Rokusek) Kuhl, David Sprank, Tim (Ashley) Sprank, Danny (Chuck Harris) Sprank, and Sara Engebretson ; 22 great-grandchildren

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; her, husband; a daughter, Barbara Kuhl, a son, Wayne Kuhl; a granddaughter, Angela Kuhl; an infant brother; and a sister, Clarabelle  Paulus.

A memorial fund has been established in Lorraine’s memory.
