Lucile M. Crowe, 92, of Clinton passed away Wednesday, March 19th, 2008 at Bluff Terrace, Mercy Medical Center, South Campus in Clinton. Lucile was born April 27th, 1915, in Dike, Iowa, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (McDermott) Murphy. She graduated from Dike High School in 1933 as the Class Valedictorian. Lucile married Robert Crowe on March 7th, 1934 in Cedar Rapids. He preceded her in death September 30th, 1988. Lucile owned and operated the Koffee Korner in Reinbeck, Iowa for 20 years. She also owned the Talented Seamstress for ten years in Denver. She loved to travel and wintered in Texas. Survivors include one daughter, Beverly (Gerald) Mayberry, Camanche; one daughter-in-law, Pat Crowe, Federal Heights, Colorado; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and one great great grandson; one sister, Marguerite Clausman, West Des Moines and a sister-in-law, Mildred Murphy, Muscatine. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, April 28th, 2008 at the Reinbeck Cemetery in Reinbeck Iowa. Cremation rights were accorded.
