Luke Peter Stephany

Lucas Peter Stephany, 35, of Preston, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014 as a result from a snowmobile accident in Miles, Iowa. Funeral services for Luke will be held Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Springbrook. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday February 5, 2014 from 3 to 7 P.M. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, and again on Thursday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. also at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Bellevue. Luke was born on October 3, 1978 in Dubuque, Iowa the son of Robert & Judi (Zeimet) Stephany. He married Erin Paulson on July 31, 2004. Together they had a son Caden. Luke graduated from Marquette High School in 1997. He worked at Alcoa for the past ten years. Luke loved spending time with his family and friends, he was a fun loving and kind person, who lived life to the fullest each day. Luke had many hobbies. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, snowmobile, golfing, playing cards, shooting pool, and spending time with his son Caden. Luke will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched. Those left to honor his memory include his parents, Bob and Judi Stephany of Springbrook; sons, Caden and Kaleb, of Maquoketa; sister, Laura (Tom) Nauman, of Madison Wisconsin; and special friend Jill Huling and her children, Ayden and Ashten.
