Margaret (Cloos) Pitts, 88 of Springbrook, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Mill Valley Care Center, in Bellevue.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Springbrook. Burial will be in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 26, 2018 at Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Bellevue and again on Tuesday morning after 9:30 until Mass begins at the Church.
Margaret was born April 10, 1930 in Springbrook, the daughter of Peter and Viola (Schlegel) Cloos. She graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in 1948. She married Jim Pitts on September 7, 1949 in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Springbrook, he passed on April 21, 2012. Margaret worked at Clinton Machine, Ensign, and Mill Valley Care Center before retiring. She loved to bake, and made the best homemade bread and dill pickles, dancing, singing, and tending to her flowers and garden. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her; five sons, Mike (Betty), of Springbrook, Dave (Sandy), of Springbrook, Jerry (Mari Jo), of Bellevue, Larry (Kate) Pitts, of Springbrook, and Roger (Sharon), of Springbrook; 12 grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren; 1 step great-grandchild; and a brother, Jim Cloos.
She was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Viola Cloos; her husband, Jim; a great granddaughter, Monica; and a sister in-law, Kathleen.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Margaret’s memory.
