Marian Helen Weis, 88, of Bellevue, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Mill Valley Care Center in Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 11 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellevue. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Visitation for Marian will be held from 9:00 11:00 a.m. Friday morning also at the church. Services are being handled by Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Bellevue. Marian Roling was born February 21, 1923 in Bellevue, the daughter of Herman and Helen (Kieffer) Roling. She married Elmer Weis on February 13, 1945 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellevue, he passed away May 24, 1998. She enjoyed everything sports. Marian was an avid fan of the Cubs, Bears, Bulls and Hawkeyes. She spent her free time completing crossword puzzles, reading and watching birds. She will be deeply missed by all. Those left to honor her memory include her three daughters, Susan Corlis, of Wake Forest, North Carolina, Sandra (Douglas) Schroeder, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Julie (Pat) Knake, of Bellevue; two sons, Gary, of Bellevue, and Mark, of Lindsborg, Kansas; daughter in-law, Barb Weis, of Dubuque; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brother Charles Chuck (JoElla) Roling, of Bellevue; and sister in-law, Norma Roling, of Clinton.
