Marie Margaret Tebbe, 95, originally of Springbrook, peacefully passed away Monday May 21, 2012 at Mill Valley Care Center in Bellevue. Arrangements are pending at the Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2012, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Springbrook. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Visitation for Marie will be held from 3:00 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service and again Friday morning after 9:00 a.m. at the church in Springbrook. Marie was born on September 1, 1916 in rural Springbrook, daughter of Nicholas and Mary (Michel) Dondlinger. She married Elmer Tebbe on November 14, 1939 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Springbrook, Iowa. Marie and Elmer purchased a farm in rural Maquoketa shortly after they were married. They worked hard and raised eight children. She was caring, loving and witty. Her family and faith were extremely important to her. She always kept busy; gardening, sewing, quilting, and playing bingo. She also enjoyed playing euchre with her family on the weekends. Marie was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Springbrook Quilters, and the KC Auxillary. She will be deeply missed by all. Those left to honor her memory include her eight children, Leon (Dula) Tebbe, of Bellevue, Marlyce Tebbe, of Bellevue, Donna (Jim) Banowetz, of Spragueville, Jack (Anna Mae) Tebbe, of Maquoketa, Dennis (Barb) Tebbe, of Maquoketa, Steve (Kathy) Tebbe, of Bellevue, Mary Kilburg, of Bellevue, and Elly (Steve) Weber, of Dubuque; 39 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and sister in-law, Rosemary Dondlinger. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Carol Tebbe; son in-law, John Kilburg; brothers, Wilfred and Merlin; and sisters, Helen Dondlinger, Sr. Rose Ellen Dondlinger, and Geraldine Herrig.
