Marjorie C Daugherty

Marjorie C. Daugherty, 76, of Bellevue, passed away Thursday, March 22nd, 2007 at Mill Valley Care Center in Bellevue. Marjorie was born November 16th, 1930 in Dubuque, daughter of the late Edward and Myrtle (Grant) Rowan Sr. She married James J. Daugherty February 16th, 1949 in Bellevue. He preceded her in death in 1990. Marjorie worked for Ensign Coil in Bellevue for many years. She enjoyed playing cards and working crossword puzzles and especially enjoyed family vacations. Survivors include one son, James Daugherty Jr., Bellevue; one daughter, Lois Friedman, Dubuque; five grandchildren, Danielle Heinrich, Maquoketa, Nicholas Nemmers, Eugene, Oregon, Kelly Nemmers, Waterloo, Courtney Friedman, Bellevue and Brett Friedman, Dubuque, one brother, Milton Rowan, Bellevue; other relatives and friends. Besides her parents and her loving husband James Daugherty Sr. she was preceded in death by one daughter, Lila Nemmers; one brother, Edward Rowan Jr. a daughter-in-law, Sue Daugherty. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Tuesday, March 27th, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellevue. Fr. Stephen Meyer will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 3-7 PM at the Kingery ~ John C Lemke Funeral Home in Bellevue and again on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until the time of procession from the funeral home.
