Marvin Joseph Kieffer, 92, of Bellevue, died Friday, March 16, 2018, at the Ennoble Manor in Dubuque. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 6, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellevue. Burial will be held in the St. Donatus Catholic Cemetery. Visitation for Marvin will be Friday from 1:00 2:00 also at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Bellevue. Marvin was born on April 5, 1925, in Bellevue, Iowa, son of William and Mary (Rueter) Kieffer. He married Luella Deppe, they were later divorced.Marvin worked for Clinton Engines for a few years. Most of his career was spent as a self- employed carpenter in Bellevue. He built many houses and repaired a lot of barns during his career. He had a kind gentle heart and enjoyed visiting with people. He enjoyed fishing and camping. He will be deeply missed. Those left to honor his memory include his two brothers, Loras (Ann Mae), of Dubuque and Francis (Sandy), of Hawaii. He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Rosemary and Norita and three brothers, Raphael, Vertis and Vern. The family would like to give a special thank you to all who helped and visited Marvin through the years.
