Mary C. Beckley, 74, of Bellevue, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, July 20th, 2006. She passed away in her home with her loving family at her side. Mary was born on December 29th, 1931 in Jackson Junction, Iowa. She was one of eight children born to George and Catherine (Gilbert) Lensing. On September 22, 1954, Mary became the wife of Robert Beckley of Bellevue. Mary lived her life to the fullest as a genuine, nonjudgmental, sincere and honest woman. Her happiest times were when she was spending time with her family. She was a member of Andrews Rosary Society, and active member of the Silver & Gold Club, the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, and Right to Life. Most importantly she enjoyed fishing with family. She enjoyed doing embroidery and crocheted an afghan for each of her grandchildren. Besides her husband, Robert Beckley, survivors include, 12 children; Carol (Eugene) McDevitt of Fairplay , Colorado, DeWayne (Carla) Beckley of Maquoketa, Dee (Roger) Brecht of Cedar Rapids, Don (Zenobia) Beckley of Englewood, Ohio, Sharon (Howie) Miller of Oxford Junction, Jerome (Joany) Beckley of LaMotte, John (Karla) Beckley of LaMotte, Phil (Jane) Beckley of Bellevue, Michelle (Bill) Decker of Dubuque, Doug Beckley of Tiffin, Dean (Michelle) Beckley of Waterford, WI, Carl Beckley of Iowa City; 25 grandchildren; one great grandchild; three step grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren; four sisters and two brothers; Besides her parents George and Catherine Lensing, she was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene and Brother-in-law, Elmer Marpe. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am, Monday, July 24th, 2006 at St. Johns Catholic Church in Andrew. Burial will be in the Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 3-7 PM at the Kingery Funeral Home in Bellevue. There will be no public visitation on Monday morning. A Memorial fund has been established in Marys name.
