Mary Lu Grewe, 72, of Bellevue, peacefully passed away Wednesday evening, April 17, 2013, at her home in Bellevue. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon, April 20, at Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Bellevue. Visitation for Mary Lu will be held from 12:00 until service time at 2:00 Saturday also at the funeral home. Mary Lu was born on September 15, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois daughter of Howard and Agnes (Mueller) Bees. She married Dale Grewe on October 7, 1990 in Las Vegas. She was a homemaker, owned and operated an answering service for over 20 years and worked as a secretary for several businesses. Mary Lu and her husband Dale retired and moved from DesPlaines, Illinois to Bellevue in 2004. She was sweet, had a great sense of humor, loved to laugh and always had others well being in mind. Mary Lu enjoyed needlepoint, crocheting and wine time. She always made time for others. Mary Lu will be deeply missed. Those left to honor her memory include her husband, of 22 years, Dale Grewe, of Bellevue; daughters, Robin (Chris) Chlopek, of Mt. Prospect, Illinois, Kristyn Andersen, of Bellevue and four grandchildren, Amanda, Christopher, Anthony (Jenifer) and Amber; a great grandson, Benjamin Joseph and granddaughter on the way, ReBecca Hayden; a sister, Alberta (Joseph) Blazina, and best friend and cousin, Rachel Ricki. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Jeffrey.
