Mary Jo Heiar, 68, of Bellevue, passed away Wednesday morning, March 23, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday morning, March 28, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellevue. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Visitation for Mary Jo will be held from 4:00 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service and again on Monday morning from 9:00 10:30 at the funeral home. Mary Jo was born on January 31, 1948 in Bellevue, Iowa, daughter of John G. and Corrine L. (Victor) Schulte. She married Harold Heiar on September 12, 1970 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellevue, He passed away March 19, 2013. Mary Jo graduated from Marquette High School in the class of 1966. She then established a 47 year career at A.Y McDonald as a Sales Administrative Coordinator. She felt like A.Y. McDonald was her second family. The Company and employees where always so good to her, especially through her long illness. Mary Jo was a classy lady, who had a way of telling it like it was, in a diplomatic way. She was very organized and always there for others. She is finally at peace with her husband, Harold. Those left to honor her memory include her mother, Corrine, of Bellevue; two sisters, Jane (Dennis) Ernst and Bette Herrig, both of Bellevue; brother, Tom (Laura Pape) Schulte, of Bellevue; and many nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her father, husband; niece, Erika Schwager; nephew, Troy Ernst and brother in-law, David Herrig.
