Michael H. Arlandson, 67, of Preston, Iowa, passed away Friday afternoon, May 19, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center, in Dubuque, Iowa.Arrangements are being handled by Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Bellevue, Iowa.Michael was born, November 2, 1949 in New Ulm, Minnesota, to Harry and Minnie (Isenberg) Arlandson. Mike grew up in Fort. Dodge, Iowa. After high school, he graduated from Mankato State. He was a computer software consultant and was most recently employed by Infor. He has traveled all over the country and abroad over his 40 plus year career. Mike and his fiancé Ann recently moved from Chicago and resided in Preston, Iowa for the winter, but their love was their summer cottage at Spruce Creek on the Mississippi river in Bellevue, IA. Mike was an avid sports fanatic. He loved the Hawkeyes, Blackhawks, Bulls and Bears. And the Cubs winning the world series on his birthday was one of the highlights of his life.Mike was quiet, loving and caring to all who knew him, whether on the beach with friends and family or a boat ride with the grandkids. He loved golfing, Jimmy Buffet concerts, traveling and loved to fish with his son. He will be missed.Those left to honor his memory include his fiancé and love of 34 years, Ann Marolf of Preston; son, Matt (Sara Maras) Arlandson of Jackson, Minnesota; step daughter, Virginia Ginny Brewer, of Bellevue, Iowa; sister, Joleen Arlandson, of Fort Dodge, Iowa; six grandchildren, Grace, Kyan and Isabelle Brewer of Bellevue, Iowa.
