Michael J. Mawhiney

Michael J. Mawhiney, 66 of Buchanan Dam Texas, passed away at his mother in-laws home in Bellevue, Monday morning, October 10, 2016, after battling a brave fight with cancer. There will be no public services per Micks wishes. Mick was born April 18, 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri, son of Otis and Iva (Hutton) Mawhiney. He married Sandra Felderman in 1983. Mick was a very kind and simple man. He enjoyed restoring classic cars and fishing. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time with his dogs. Those left to honor his memory include his wife Sandra Felderman; mother in-law, Dorothy Felderman; his beloved dog Sammy; four brothers in-law, many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Wayne. The family would like to thank Hospice of Jackson County and Intern Pastor Samuel Felderman for their special care and compassion shown to Mick.
