Mildred Sophia Potter, 89, of Clinton, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2008, at Prairie Hills Assisted Living in Clinton, Mildred was born November 16th, 1918, in Lost Nation, daughter of the late Louis and Amanda (Mohr) Luett. She married Gerald Hale Potter on September 7th, 1936, in Malta, Illinois. He preceded her in death June 13th, 1986. She had worked for Dupont for 17 years. She was member of the Clinton area Jehovahs Witnesses. Survivors include two daughters and one son, Dixie Lee (Denis) McCann, Gerald H. (Gladys) Potter, both of Cape Coral, FL, and Cheryl (Michael) May, Fulton, IL; seven grandchildren, Ann Anderson, Russell Heinsen, David Heinsen, Carol Smith, Linda Back, Chad Vilmont and Aaron Vilmont; ten great grandchildren; two brothers, Fred Luett, Clinton and Frank (Judy) Luett, Joplin, MO; two sisters, Arlene Jorgenson, Maquoketa, Evelyn McClain, Fort Atkinson, WI; two sisters-in-law, Arlene Luett, Clinton and Jane (Russell) Luett-Doonan, Pueblo, CO; other relatives and friends. Besides her parents and her husband Gerald Hale Potter, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Leroy, Gilbert, Elmer and Robert Luett. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, April 5th, 2008, at The Lemke Funeral Home, South Chapel, Clinton. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
