Orville C. Roling, 79 of Bellevue, died Thursday, October 22, 2009 at his home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 26 at St. Joseph Catholic Church; Bellevue officiated by Father Stephen Meyer. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Kingery~Lemke Funeral Home and again Monday at the funeral home after 9:30 until procession to the church Orville was born on October 1, 1930 in Bellevue, son of Joseph L. and Helen (Stechen) Roling. He married Rosemary Kilburg on May 20, 1953 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Orville and his wife farmed for over 56 years. He was an easygoing, kind and caring man who always had time for others. He also had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and farming. In his later years he enjoyed playing cards, puzzles and riding his gator around the farm. Surviving is his wife of 56 years, Rosemary; four children, Lynn (Linda) Roling, of Anamosa, Iowa, Faye Ann, of Bellevue, Nancy (Terry) Kieffer, of Preston, Mary Jo (Jeff Selzer) Roling-Dannar, of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, Kim (Johnny) Johnston, Chad (Carrie) Richardson, Travis, Dakota and Amanda Kieffer; two great grandchildren, Sean Michael and Austin Chase Richardson, Cole Johnston; two sisters Isabelle Stillmunkes and Lucille (John) Merkes, both of Dubuque. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lavonne; six brothers, Vincent, Art, Richard, Raymond, Glenn and Aloysius; and four sisters, Bernice Heim, Estella Kilburg, Ida Herrig, and Virginia Deppe.
