Peter 'Pete' Schroeder

Dubuque, Ia. Peter Pete Schroeder, 57, of Dubuque, formally of Bellevue, Iowa passed away on Monday morning, July 20, 2015 at his home in Dubuque. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 29 at St. John Lutheran Church in Bellevue, with Pastor Paul Gammelin officiating. A visitation will be from 6:00 7:00 P.M. prior to the service also at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Hachmann Funeral Home And Cremation Service of Bellevue. Peter was born May 26, 1958, in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Charles and Janet (Brooking) Schroeder. He grew up in Davenport and moved to Bellevue in 5th grade. Pete graduated from Bellevue Community School in 1976. He attended Upper Iowa University and Clinton Community College. He was a member of Saint John's Lutheran Church. Pete enjoyed being outdoors fishing and playing golf. Those left to honor his memory include his two daughters, Sami (Eric) Pitts,of LeClaire, Iowa, and Carly Schroeder, of LasVegas,; grandson, Jack Pitts; mother, Jan Schroeder, of Bellevue; brothers, Joel (KayAnn), of Bellevue, Mike (Gwen), of Le Claire and sister Amy Fisher, of Las Vegas; He was preceded in death by his father; Charles Schroeder. Grandparents Dr. and Mrs. LV Schroeder and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brooking. Two uncles Bill Schroeder and Rev. Larry Fruhling. In Lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Petes name.
