Phyllis M. Ernst 90, of Bellevue, died on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Mill Valley Care Center in Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, November 8, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellevue. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation for Phyllis will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 Monday Evening at Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service and again Tuesday morning after 9:00 at the funeral home. Phyllis was born July 28, 1921 in Dickyville, Wisconsin, the daughter of Edward and Louise (Wagner) Ginter. She married Edward Ernst on May 1, 1946. Ed passed away February 28, 1991. Phyllis was a homemaker and helped her husband with the farm. She was loving, hardworking enjoyed her family and had a great sense of humor. She also enjoyed reading, baking, cooking, gardening, playing cards, shopping and spending time at the Senior Citizens Center. Phyllis was known for her great candy making. She will be truly missed by all. She is survived by her two children, Jim (Lynn) Ernst, of Bellevue and Mary Kay (John) Egan, of Dubuque; three grandchildren, Jamie (Darcy Pylarczyk) Ernst, Scott (Kelly) Ernst, and Kathy (Ted) McClimon; two step grandchildren, Doug Egan and Sarah (Mike) Collins; four great grandchildren, Katlyn, Jaelynn, Mason and Reece; and a sister, Alverna Lewis, of Cuba City; two sisters in-law, Leona Pete Ginter and Ann Philips. She is preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, Wilfred and Roman Bud Ginter; and two sisters, Edwina Lyster and Eileen Steffen.
