Raymond Michael Deppe, 76, of Bellevue, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at his home. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 17 at St. John Lutheran Church, St. Donatus. In Accordance with Ray's wishes there will be no visitation prior to the Memorial Service. Arrangements are being handled by Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Bellevue. Raymond Deppe Jr. was born on July 29, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois, son of Raymond M. Sr. and Nellie (Webster) Deppe. He married Ingeborg Ritter on October 4, 1960 in Basel Switzerland. Ray enlisted in the United States Army in 1953. He continued with the Army for a 20 year career, retiring in 1973. During his career he traveled the world and met and married his wife Ingeborg in Switzerland. After retiring he and Ingeborg moved to Bellevue. He then took employment with the Savanna Army Depot, retiring again in 1998. He was a quiet and thoughtful man with a great sense of humor who was devoted to his family. He enjoyed reading, fishing and watching the Chicago Cubs. Those left to honor his memory include his wife Ingeborg Deppe, of Bellevue; two daughters, Patricia (Todd) Verdoorn, of Plymouth, Minnesota, and Carole (Tom Kelley) Deppe, of Thornton, Colorado; and three grandchildren, Benjamin, Logan, and Carlyn Verdoorn.
