Rita C. Timmer

Rita C. Timmer, 82, of Clinton, passed away Sunday at Bluff Terrace Nursing Facility in Clinton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, September 13, 2007 at 9:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 312 South 4th St, Clinton. Father Anthony Herold will be officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5-8 PM at Lemke Funeral Homes-Lyons Chapel, 2304 N 2nd St., Clinton. Pallbearers will be the Knights of Columbus. Burial will be at St. Josephs Cemetery in Sugar Creek. Rita was born on February 14, 1925 in Preston, IA to William and Clara (Luedtke) Timmer. She was a 1942 graduate on Preston High School. She also was a graduate of the Beauty Academy in Dubuque. Rita also owned and operated Timmer Beauty Salon in Preston and also for Bernies Beauty Salon. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish and the Clintones. She won many Beauty Styling Awards, using her sister as the model. Rita is survived by her one brother, Richard Timmer of Camanche, two sisters, Clara Timmer of Camanche, and Dolores Eisenbeis of Clinton. Also many nieces and nephews.
