Rose M. Etringer

Rose Marie Etringer, 89, of Bellevue, passed away, Wednesday evening, July 12, 2017 at Mill Valley Care Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, July 17, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Bellevue. Burial will take place in the Parish Cemetery. Visitation for Rosie will be held from 9:00-11:00a.m. Monday morning prior to the funeral mass at Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation, Bellevue.Rosie was born on April 19, 1928 in Preston, Iowa, the daughter of Otto and Regina (Diel) Wassmer. She married Ardo Etringer on August 21, 1950 in Preston. Ardo preceded her in death on February 20, 2000.Rosie graduated from Preston High School and obtained a teaching certificate from Mount St. Clare College.Rosie Farmed with her husband two miles west of Springbrook for over 20 years, during this time she was teaching school. They moved to Bellevue and she started working at Ensign Coil company and Mill Valley Care Center.Rosie was a very caring person, who loved to help others. She enjoyed playing bingo and embroidering.Those left to honor her memory include her sister in-law, Patricia Kahler; Many nieces and nephews and very special friends grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Robert Wassmer; and two very special aunts and an uncle who raised her, Anna, Emma and John Diel.Online condolences may be left for the family at www.hachmannfuneralhome.com.
