Rosemary Dondlinger, 87, of Springbrook, IA, passed away early Monday morning, December 21, 2015, at 1:43 a.m. at Mill Valley Care Center, in Bellevue, IA, with her four children at her side. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday evening, December 23, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Springbrook. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Visitation for Rosemary will be held from 2:00 -5:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the church. Hachmann Funeral Home and Cremation Services, of Bellevue, is in charge of the arrangements. Rosemary Tebbe was born at home on October 6, 1928, in rural Springbrook, the daughter of John and Mary (Helmle) Tebbe. She attended Slabtown Country School, rural Jackson County. On April 26, 1949, Rosemary married Merlin Dondlinger at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, in Springbrook. Merlin passed away on September 10, 2001. During Rosemarys lifetime, she had a variety of work experiences. She worked at Clinton Engines, in Maquoketa, as an inspector; Ensign Coil Company, in Bellevue, as a coil picker; Frommelt Industries, in Dubuque, as a cook in the cafeteria; Crestridge, in Maquoketa, and Mill Valley, in Bellevue as a member of their dietary staff; and John Deere, in Dubuque and East Moline, IL, as an inspector. Rosemary was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, in Springbook. She loved cooking for her family and was famous for her fried chicken. Rosemary never left anyone who visited go home hungry. Those left to honor her memory include children, Barb (Jim) Budde, of Bellevue, Marlene (Mark) Cloos, of Springbrook, Peg (Dean) Lux, of Aurora, CO, Brad (Roxanne) Dondlinger, of Mason City, IA; sister, Regina Clasen, of Springbrook; brother, Sylvester (Algean) Tebbe, of Preston, IA; 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Elmer, Alfred, Johnny, Harold, Oliver, and Richard; sisters, Rosella Sullivan, Armella Clasen, and Lavita Budde. The family wishes to thank Mill Valley Care Center and their wonderful and caring staff, who went above and beyond; Hospice of Jackson County and their caring staff; Dr. Laurie Garms, Dr. Andrea Ries, Dr. Jeffrey Hunter, Bob Blue Eyes and Sandy Hayward, and any others who touched our moms life in anyway.Reception:Sts.
