Rosina M. Kieffer, 82, of Bellevue, passed away, Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at Stonehill Care Center in Dubuque. Rosina was born December 8th, 1923, in Springbrook, Iowa, daughter of the late John Tony & Mary (Jacobs) Kloft. She married Donald J. Kieffer on September 12th, 1944 at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Springbrook. He preceded her in death on May 23rd, 1974. Rosina was a homemaker and actively helped her husband on the farm. She was a member of the Rosary Society and volunteered for the St. Josephs hot lunch program. Rosina enjoyed quilting and gardening. Most of all she loved her family. She is survived by ten children; Jerry (Kris) Kieffer, Jean (Steve) Owens, both of Dubuque, Wayne Kieffer of Bellevue, Mary Cain of Indian Harbour Beach, Florida, Pat Kieffer, Deb Genz, Connie Kieffer all of Iowa City, Rita Kieffer, of Charlottesville, Virginia, Barb (Jack) Morio of Marion and Betty (David) Martyn, Gardiner, Montana; 13 grandchildren and three great grandsons; brothers and sisters, Alma (Ray) Banowetz, of Marion, Vera (Norbert) Banowetz of Cedar Rapids, Don (Ann) Kloft of Dubuque; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Alvin Medinger & Leona Kieffer both of Bellevue, Rita Herting of Dubuque, Lois Roeder of St. Louis, Missouri and Brother Larry Kieffer of Papua, New Guinea; other relatives and friends. Besides her husband Donald and her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Clarence Kloft and one sister, Evelyn Medinger. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Monday, November 13, 2006 at St. Josephs Catholic Church, Bellevue. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 ~ 5 pm at the Kingery Funeral Home and again on Monday from 9:30 am until the procession leaves for Mass.
