Ruth Elaine Keil, 87, of Bellevue, passed away Friday morning, February 20, 2015, at Finley Hospital in Dubuque. A Christian Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, at St. John Lutheran Church in Bellevue. Pastor Paul Gammelin will officiate. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Visitation for Ruth will be held from 10:00 12:00 p.m. Tuesday also at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Bellevue. Ruth was born on May 4, 1927 in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of Alfred and Marian (Welter) Bottoms. She Married Norbert Dutch Keil on July 28, 1956 in St. John Lutheran Church in Bellevue. He passed away on June 20, 1978. Ruth worked at various restaurants in Bellevue over the years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and American Legion Auxillary. She enjoyed baking, making jelly and was known for her home made noodles. Ruth also enjoyed selling her baked goods at the Farmers Market in Bellevue. Those left to honor her memory include her two daughters, Debra (Mark) Edwards, of Maquoketa and Diane (Jack) Carson, of Bellevue; four grandchildren, Dustin (Amanda) Edwards, Jayson (Jessica) Keil, Christine (Danny Oberbroeckling) Edwards, and Breanna (Travis) Cooper; and five great grandchildren, Layla Keil, Emma Keil, Avery Edwards, Cameron Cooper, Gemma Oberbroeckling and two on the way; two sisters, June (Duane) Bradfield and Dorothy (Harlan) Robey; and sister in-law, Judy Daniels. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Keith and Kent; a sister and two brothers. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Ruths name.
